Colmar is a city located in Northeastern France near the German border. We enjoyed the picturesque medieval houses and cobblestone streets in the Old Town. Colmar is the birthplace of Bartholdi, the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty. The town constructed a replica of the Statue of Liberty in his honor.
We tried some traditional Alsace food – sausages, ham and potatoes on a bed of sauerkraut and tarte flambee.
